HOUSTON -

A man convicted of assaulting his elderly mother is wanted for not following the terms of his probation.

Authorities say in Sept. of 2011, Kenneth Ray Flowers awoke his mother and entered her room using profanity at her. He was asked to leave but shoved her against the wall and punched her shoulder.

Flowers was convicted of a third-degree felony, given four years probation and was fined. Authorities say they believe that Flowers is on the run. An arrest warrant was issued for him in February.

Flowers is 54 years old and described as a black man, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 160 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair.
