When deputies arrived to the pond, they found the 3 year old's body at the edge of the pond, official said.

The child was taken to CHI St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, where the child was pronounced dead.

Deputies continued to search for Omar Martinez, 21, but they suspended the search around 1 a.m.

Authorities resumed their search Thursday morning, when they found Martinez's body in the pond.

Officials said the two were in a boat fishing Wednesday when they believe the boat capsized and sank.

According to authorities, neither person had flotation devices, and autopsy reports showed that both of the victims died as a result of a drowning.
