The suspects, described only as two black males, wearing bandanas and dark clothing, demanded money from the victims before shooting them multiple times. The suspects then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Williams, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene. McClain, 33, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.

Houston police say their investigation developed information that identified Jacob Brown as a suspect in this case.  On Tuesday, Brown was charged with capital murder in this case.

Brown, 28, was already in the Harris County Jail on unrelated robbery charges.
