HOUSTON -

The man accused of killing his mother and sister appeared before a judge Monday morning.

Mark Gideon, 54, is charged with capital murder.

According to documents read in court, a neighbor saw Gideon at the victims’ house in Spring several days before the bodies were discovered. That neighbor claims Gideon said he was going to kill the women.

Gideon’s mother, 75-year-old Margaret Gideon, and his sister, 52-year-old Vonda Gideon, were found dead Thursday in separate bedrooms at the home on Kirkleigh Lane and Highworth Drive.

Deputies found the bodies after neighbors reported not seeing the women for nearly a week.

Gideon was a person of interest in the deaths and was arrested on Friday.
