BAYTOWN, Texas – A man faces murder charges in the death of his girlfriend's 5-month-old baby.
Baytown police said officers responded to the Avalon Bay Apartments at 925 Northwood Street on January 9, 2013.

Upon arrival, paramedics tried to resuscitate the girl. Police said the baby was taken to San Jacinto Methodist Hospital where she died.
Baytown police said during their investigation, the girl's mother told detectives that her live-in boyfriend, identified as 30-year-old Keydrin Arceneaux, was the last person with her baby before her death.
Detectives said they began their investigation and found signs of foul play as the baby had bruising on the left side of her temple.
An autopsy report released the next month showed the baby died from blunt-force trauma.
Upon further investigation, police said detectives conducted a second interview with Arceneaux on April 11, 2014 when he admitted to shaking the baby.
The Harris County District Attorney's Office filed murder charges against Arceneaux and he was arrested April 18.
He's being held in the Harris County Jail without bond.
