GALVESTON, Texas – A Houston man is charged in connection with a shooting on Galveston beach.
Victor Lara was arrested Saturday.

Police said Lara, 22, shot a man near 7th Street and Seawall about 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police said Lara and a group of people were arguing with the man prior to the shooting.
Lara is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence. He was being held on $15,000 bond.
The victim was taken to a hospital. His condition wasn't immediately released.
