HOUSTON -

Police arrested a man after he allegedly broke into a CITGO gas station in Southeast Houston early Saturday morning.

Houston police responded to an alarm at the gas station on Bellfort Avenue at Waltrip Street around 1:45 a.m.

Officers said they found the suspect standing in the CITGO. Investigators said the man had busted a hole in the concrete wall with a crowbar to get into the gas station.

When the man saw the police, he tried to run away. Officers eventually caught up with the man and arrested him.

Investigators weren't sure if the man had time to take anything from the gas station before police arrested him.
