Police said shortly after the 6-year-old went into the dressing room an unknown black man opened the curtain, grabbed her by the hand and tried to pull her with him, but the girl yelled for him to stop. The man then let her go and left the area.

Police said the same man was seen about 30 minutes earlier inside a J.C. Penny's store watching young girls, but he left the store when employees noticed him.

The man may be driving a late 1990s model tan Ford Taurus.

Anyone with information about the incident or the man's identity is asked to contact the College Station Police Department at 979-764-3600.
