Man attacks woman putting up Christmas decorations, police say

SUGAR LAND, Texas – A man attacked a woman in her front yard, stole her purse and is later caught using her credit cards, police said.

On Nov. 27, a woman was in her front yard in the 1200 block of Spinnaker Way putting up Christmas decorations after returning from the grocery store at 5:15 p.m., according to authorities.

A man came up behind the Sugar land women and pulled her down by her hair to steal her purse, police said.

According to the woman, the man was described as a black male with dark hair who was wearing a white button-down shirt and khaki pants as he took off in a light–colored sports utility vehicle.

Two men were later caught on surveillance video in a Macy’s store in the West Oaks Mall using a stolen credit card from the woman’s purse, police said.
