Jeremy Miller, 23, has been charged with murder for allegedly killing Tremayne Richardson, 40.

HOUSTON – A man has been arrested in charged in connection with a murder in southeast Houston.

The shooting happened around 12:50 a.m. July 5 on the 1700 block of Nichole Woods Drive.

Jeremy W. Miller, 23, faces murder charges in the killing of Tremayne Richardson, 40.

Richardson told his wife shortly after midnight on July 5 that he was going to meet someone outside.

Richardson's wife woke up around 4:30 a.m. and found her husband shot outside their home. Richardson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say that further investigation led them to Miller. He was also charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for his involvement in a shooting on the 7300 block of the Gulf Freeway on Aug. 2. Officers with the Houston Police Department's Eastside Patrol Division's Tactical Unit arrested Miller on Aug. 15. He was later charged for the death of Richardson, according to HPD.
