HOUSTON -

Police said a man was shot as he attempted to run away from two men who attacked him outside of his home on Hardy Road in North Houston on Saturday.

The man was shot twice, once in the leg and once in the arm.

Police arrived at the scene around 4:30 a.m. Saturday and transported the victim to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

According to police, the man had just arrived home when two men waiting in his driveway ambushed him.

Police said the two men jumped the victim and took his cash. 

Once they had taken the money, the victim tried to run away, but as he was running one of the two suspects shot him.

The suspects then fled.

The victim's name was not released.
