Man aims gun at deputies in bar parking lot, deputies say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Investigators said deputies shot at a man who aimed his gun at them in the parking lot of a bar.

The man got into an argument with another person inside the Ostioneria Michoacan bar at 15125 North Freeway around midnight Sunday, officials said.

The man left the argument walked outside to the parking lot to get his gun, according to authorities.

People inside the restaurant told authorities that the man began to shoot his gun in the air.

Two Harris County deputies working security walked outside to see what was going on, and the man pointed his gun at the deputies, authorities said.

One of the deputies pulled his gun and shot one time at the man, officials said.

The man was not hit by the bullet. He then jumped in his truck and fled down the feeder road.

The man was eventually stopped and taken into custody. He faces aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges, deputies said.
