Man accused of setting dumpster on fire

A man was arrested Thursday morning for setting fire to a dumpster in northwest Harris County.

At 7:40 a.m. Harris County fire officials arrested Michael Barnett on suspicion of setting a large trash dumpster on fire in the 9000 block of Shoal Creek.

"Witnesses told investigators Michael Barnett threatened to set a fire," Capt. Dean Hensley, with the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office, said. "Barnett was located at a near by Fiesta store, confessed to
investigators that he set the fire, and was arrested."

Barnett was booked in Harris County Jail charged with criminal mischief. Barnett also had open warrants out of Tomball Police Department.
