Man accused of taking off pants in nail salon shop

HOUSTON – There’s nothing odd or unusual about buying chips and soda at a convenience store, which is exactly what surveillance video shows a man doing in a store off Highway 6 in the Alief area.

What a nail salon owner said the man did after he left the store and came into her shop to use the restroom, was downright obscene and caused her to panic.

“He came out with no pants. I was very scared, and right after that I called police,” she said.

She was by herself and says she felt uneasy when he walked in, because she immediately recognized the pant-less man.

She’d seen him twice before a few months ago in two nearby stores, where she’d been shopping.

“He came and bothered me. He asked me if I am Vietnamese or Chinese. I don't say nothing. I just told him I am from the Middle East. That's it and I left right away,” she said.

She said, oddly enough, he asked her that very same question again before disrobing. He also had a small pad in his hand.

“I did not answer him, and then after he writes it down and asks me, 'How old? How old are you?'” she said.

She doesn’t feel like he was targeting her, and thinks the whole thing is a coincidence, but nonetheless felt threatened.

She wants him off the streets.

“I'm very scared. Last night I couldn't sleep, too. That's very dangerous if it happens again for someone,” she said.
