Man accused of stealing cologne & body wash at several stores

HOUSTON -

A man has been arrested after allegedly stealing large amounts of body wash and cologne from multiple pharmacies in Houston.

David Nathan Gathright, 34, is accused of stealing items from at least three different stores on at least three different occasions.

According to court documents, Gathright allegedly stole 24 bottles of body wash from a Walgreens at 11038 Westheimer on October 12. The stolen items were valued at $179.

Court documents state Gathright allegedly stole five cologne sets from a Walgreens at 12611 South Gessner on November 6. The stolen items were valued at $120.

Gathright allegedly stole ten cologne sets from a Walgreens at 8413 Stella Link on November 15. The stolen items were valued at $300.

In each case, witnesses said the suspect walked right past the register and got into a waiting vehicle and left store property.

Gathright was arrested and charged with organized retail theft.
