A woman told police she had to run to a fire station to escape a brutal attack by her husband in southwest Houston.
According to court documents, Kevin Hall, 41, allegedly punched and choked his wife during an argument last week.
According to court documents, Hall and his wife were washing cars behind a sports bar in the 9500 block of the Southwest Freeway service road on April 23. The woman they began to argue, and he grabbed her and dragged her to the car. She said he forced her into the back seat and began punching her in the face. After that, the woman said, her husband got into the driver's seat and began driving.
Shortly after that, Hall allegedly pulled over near a bayou, got into the back seat and began choking her. She said he threatened to kill her and throw her into the bayou.
According to court documents, Hall got back in the driver's seat and continued to drive. The woman told investigators she saw a fire station and tried to get out of the car. She said Hall stopped the car and went around to her side. She said she was able to open the door and run towards the fire station.
According to court documents, Hall drove away at that point. The woman went to the fire station for help. She was bleeding from the face and mouth and had a swollen eye.
Hall is charged with assault-family violence. According to court documents, he has been convicted on similar charges several times.
