A man accused of killing his girlfriend appeared in court Thursday.
Derrick Worrell faced a judge as the charges against him were read. He's charged with murder and robbery.
Investigators say he strangled Felicia Minor and then set her car on fire with the body in it.
In addition to the murder, deputies connected Worrell to a nearby carjacking immediately after Minor's car was set on fire. He's awaiting trial in the Harris County Jail.
