HOUSTON – A man was charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in northeast Houston on Sunday.
Houston police said Matthew Jacob Contreras, 28, was charged with murdering a 19-year-old man.

Investigators said Contreras and the victim began arguing at 702 Redondo at 3 a.m. Sunday and Contreras produced a knife, stabbing the victim several times.
Contreras fled on foot but was arrested a short time later.
The victim's name has not yet been released.
