The victim told deputies she was involved in a physical altercation with another female when Torrell Hayward, 34, intervened, authorities said.

Constable Mark Herman said Hayward returned to his vehicle and grabbed a handgun, firing two shots from his vehicle in the direction of the victim before fleeing the scene, according to the victim and a witness.

No injuries or damaged property were reported, Herman said.

"The charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon has been filed on Hayward, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest," Herman said.
