Houston store employee accused of writing company checks to herself

HOUSTON – A Houston office assistant accused of writing company checks to herself and using a company credit card without permission is set to appear in court Thursday.

According to Houston police, Paula Ann Fanning, 34, worked at Randolph Furniture at 1018 York St. Police said she is accused of stealing between $20,000 and $100,000 of company money and using it for personal expenses.

Court documents said Fanning was on a 10-year term probation for a similar theft in 2013.
