Madisonville police find missing K-9

The Madisonville Police Department is asking for help from the public to locate an 8-year-old black Labrador named Gunny.

MADISONVILLE, Texas – The Madisonville Police Department has found a missing narcotics K-9.

Authorities say they learned around 11 a.m. Sunday that the dog went missing from its handler's home. He was found around 4:30 p.m. Sunday

The male dog is 8 years old and named Gunny. He is described as a black Labrador.

Gunny was last seen around 11:30 p.m. Saturday in his kennel at a house on the 4500 block of Union Road.

It is unknown if the dog wandered away on his own or if he was taken from the residence, according to police.
