Woman who drowned in Saturday's floods identified

HOUSTON – The Harris County Medical Examiner's Office has identified a woman who drowned in Saturday's flood.

Police said Maria Diego-Martinez, 30, drowned after exiting her vehicle.

The Houston Police Department said she crashed into a ditch Saturday in the 6300 block of Beverley Hill Street.

Officials said her body floated to a culvert more than two miles away and was found in the 1900 block of Briar Grove Drive.
