MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has identified the body found on a church property as Micaela C. Hernandez-Juarez, 38. Deputies believe that her husband killed her.
During the course of the investigation, deputies say Hernandez-Juarez, of Spring, had been reported missing by her family on Oct. 19.
On Oct. 28, two people were playing disc golf on the property of Stonebridge Church in The Woodlands when they found a body in the woods. Through the subsequent investigation, detectives learned that Hernandez-Juarez and her husband, Uriel Juarez, had been playing disc golf at the location when an argument began.
Deputies said the verbal altercation became physical and resulted in Hernandez-Juarez's death.
Uriel David Juarez, 35, was arrested and charged with murder in Hernandez-Juarez's death. He is currently in the Montgomery County Jail with a $500,000 bond.
