Authorities said federal probation officers found Dominguez's twin 2-year-old daughters locked in a room Saturday afternoon. The officers went to the home check on the Dominguez, who is awaiting trial on a human trafficking charge. According to the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, the room where the girls were found contained only a single blanket and smelled of human waste.

Investigators arrested the girls' aunt, 27-year-old Amy Castillo, on Saturday and charged her with child abandonment and endangerment.

Authorities said Dominguez was not home at the time.

A spokesperson for CPS said the two girls were taken a hospital to be checked out and then placed in a foster home.

Police have been investigating the incident and issued an arrest warrant for Dominguez on Tuesday.

She was arrested and booked in to the Liberty County Jail. Dominguez is charged with abandonment/endangering a child by criminal negligence.
