HPD: Motorcyclist, 25, dies after crash into field

Man's identity still pending

HOUSTON – A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed Friday when he hit a curb and crashed in a vacant field, police said.

The man died at the scene. His name has not been released, as the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences continues to verify the man’s identity, according to a news release from the Houston Police Department.

The wreck took place about 2:50 a.m., near 1900 Bagby St.

The victim was riding a red Harley Davidson motorcycle south on Pierce Street when he crashed. Speed may have been a factor, officers said in the release.

The investigation continues.
