Teen shot in grocery store parking lot

Shooting happened at HEB in west Harris County

HOUSTON – A teenager was shot in a west Harris County grocery store parking lot, investigators said.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said there was a disturbance between a 19-year-old and four men outside the HEB store on South Mason Road near Highland Knolls Drive about 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

At one point, one of the men pulled a gun and shot the teen in the neck, officials said.

The teenager was taken by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious condition. His name has not been released.

The four men left the parking lot in two getaway cars, investigators said. Descriptions of the men have not been released.

Detectives said they will review surveillance video from the store to see if it can help provide more information.
