Suspects charged in Radio Shack robbery

3 Klein ISD schools were briefly placed under lockdown during search

HARRIS COUNTY – Authorities said the suspects they believe are responsible for robbing an electronics store in northwest Harris County have been charged.

Klein ISD confirmed to Local 2 that a lockdown was issued for 10 minutes at Klein High, Kleb Intermediate and Mittelstädt  Elementary Wednesday morning while authorities searched the area surrounding the schools.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office said four Black men robbed the Radio Shack on Stuebner Airline around 10 a.m.

Officials said the suspects ran out of the store in the direction towards the bayou.

Authorities arrested the suspects at a nearby apartment complex near the intersection of Parker and Yale around 12 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities identified the suspects as 18-year-old Marckel Lee Burns, 27-year-old Jerome Emanuel Harris, 19-year-old Desmond Dwayne Phillips and 24-year-old Johnothan Louis Fields.

All four men have been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and appeared in court Thursday morning.

Phillips, Burns and Fields are being held in the Harris County Jail on $30,000 bond. Harris posted a $30,000 bond.
