Pasadena woman accused of shooting another woman

Pasadena police finds woman in her 50s on the ground

PASADENA, Texas – Police say one woman is dead after another woman shot her in the head Saturday.

The shooting happened around 1 p.m. Saturday on the 3100 block of Redfield Drive.

When police officers arrived, they found the victim -- a woman in her 50s -- on the ground.

"I was just sitting in my room with my son when I heard the gunshot," said neighbor Eloy Elizondo.

"It's scary because I have children, four children, and it happened so close," said neighbor Chrystal Bell.

Authorities said they received a tip that the suspect -- also a woman in her 50s -- was heading to a location on the 4200 block of Vista Road.

Police arrested the woman and she is currently being held at the Pasadena jail. She has not yet been charged with the crime.

The victim was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her boyfriend talked to Local 2 off camera and said he was with his girlfriend when the shooting happened. He said he once had relations with the suspect and he believes she wanted both him and his girlfriend dead.

"I think the suspect came to the house and tried talking to victim, which led to a verbal argument and the shooting," said Vance Mitchell, of the Pasadena Police Department.
