HARRIS COUNTY - A deadly motorcycle accident shut down a busy stretch of highway in North Harris County for hours Thursday morning.
According to Harris County Sheriff's deputies, the man borrowed the motorcycle from a friend just after midnight. Deputies said shortly after that, he drove through a stop sign along the North Freeway feeder road at Barren Springs and slammed into a metal guard rail separating the feeder from the main lanes.
The crash catapulted the victim into the southbound lanes of the freeway, into oncoming traffic. Deputies said two 18-wheelers and an SUV ran over the man. He died at the scene.
