HARRIS COUNTY - A man is in the hospital, after getting shot by the security guards he hit with his truck in a North Harris county parking lot.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the man was spinning the wheels of his truck outside the Mercado Sagadomingo Flea Market off Airline Drive near Gulf Bank Road late Sunday night. Deputies said when three security guards went to investigate, the man drove at straight at them.

Two of the guards were knocked down and then opened fire on the truck, according to deputies. They hit the driver, who got a few blocks away before pulling over. First responders took him to the hospital in stable condition.

Deputies said both of the security guards are in good condition. As of now, deputies are not sure what caused him to hit the guards.
