HOUSTON – One man was shot to death and another injured in a shootout in Northwest Harris county Thanksgiving night.
Harris County sheriff's deputies said the shooting happened outside a home on Palstone Bend Lane and Mirkwood Lane about 9:15 p.m.

A man who lived at the home got into an argument with a man who was visiting, detectives said.
The argument escalated, guns were drawn and the men exchanged fire, deputies said.
The man who lived at the home was taken to Ben Taub Hospital, where he later died. His name has not been released.
The other was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Detectives said they are talking to someone who may be able to shed light on the case.
