Fire destroys northwest Harris County tattoo parlor

Harris County Fire Marshal investigating cause of fire

HOUSTON – Arson officials are investigating after a northwest Harris County tattoo parlor was destroyed by fire early Wednesday morning.

Just after 3:30 a.m., a man called 911 and then shot cell phone video of the flames shooting from The Crow's Nest Tattoo Parlor.

Officials said when Klein firefighters arrived at the shop on Airline and Mintwood Lane, flames were shooting from the roof.

The fire was so intense crews could not go inside. They had to fight the fire defensively to keep firefighters safe.

Authorities said the business was closed for the night, so no one was hurt.

Firefighters said the shop, which is a converted home, had just opened up three months ago.

The building is now a total loss, according to investigators.

Arson officials with the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office are now investigating the fire.

"Evidence of criminal activity were found at the scene," said Lt. Dean Hensley with the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office.

Anyone with information about this fire is asked to call the fire marshal's office at 281-436-8073 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

Up to a $5,000 cash reward is being offered for any tips leading to an arrest in this or any fire.
