FBI: Masked suspects hold up BBVA Compass Bank in NW Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY – Harris County Sheriff's deputies and the FBI are searching for two men who they say robbed a bank in northwest Harris County Thursday morning.

Authorities say two men wearing masks entered the BBVA Compass Bank in the 17900 block of FM 529 at Barker Cypress Road, around 10:30 a.m.

Several employees and two customers were in the bank at the time.

The thieves held up the bank, then fled the scene in a stolen pickup truck, which was later recovered.

The first suspect is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 200 pounds and has a stocky build. He was armed with a pistol, witnesses say.

The second suspect is said to be between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 230 pounds. He did not display a gun.

No injuries were reported.
