Driver blamed in fiery crash missing

The driver accused of causing a fiery crash in northwest Harris County is nowhere to be found, police say.

HARRIS CO., Texas – The Houston Fire Department responded to a report of a car on fire early Sunday morning.  Once firefighters arrived, they noticed the driver of the car was no where to be found.

The car caught fire on Highway 290 at West 34th Street.  Investigators said the driver of the car rear-ended a pickup truck.  The car caught fire and the driver left the scene.

The driver of the truck was not injured, and gave a statement to investigators on the scene.

The driver to blame in the crash has not been identified.
