HARRIS COUNTY - Sheriff's deputies are searching for two burglars who tried to steal cigarettes from a CVS store in northwest Harris County.

According to Harris County Sheriff's Office, two men smashed into the store at Gessner Drive and Philippine Street at 4:15 a.m. Thursday.

After seeing them loading cigarettes into trash bags, a deputy pulled up to the store. That's when the burglars dropped the cigarettes and ran off into a nearby neighborhood.

Deputies searched for the suspects, but could not find them.

The store's manager said they recovered all of the stolen cigarettes.
