Burglars hit Kroger in Spring, lead deputies on chase into Humble

HUMBLE, Texas – Harris County sheriff's deputies are searching for one of the three burglars who broke into a Kroger and stole cartons of cigarettes.

According to deputies, the men sneaked into the grocery store on Treaschwig Road and Cypresswood Drive in Spring early Monday morning. They drove off with the stolen goods, but deputies got a description of their car.

A Precinct 4 deputy spotted the suspects' vehicle and chased them into Humble. The driver of the getaway car crashed in a neighborhood on Fox Hall Lane near Foxwood Forest Trail.

Officials say the trio got out and tried to run away, but deputies tracked two of them to a nearby home in the neighborhood. The third got away.

Deputies have not said what charges the suspects will face.
