Armed robber forces man to withdraw $1,900 from ATM in Baytown

BAYTOWN, Texas – Baytown police are searching for an armed robber who forced a man to drive to several ATMs and withdraw cash.

The crime happened around 4:30 a.m. on June 25 when the victim was on his way to work.

According to the victim, he was approached by a thief wearing all camouflage and had his face covered with a camouflage mask.

Investigators said the robber pointed a gun at the driver, forced him in the backseat of the victim's truck and then duct taped his hands behind his back.

Police said the crook took the victim's wallet which had $600 in cash and two debit cards and drove the victim in his truck to several ATM's in Baytown ordering the victim to give him his PIN or he would kill him.

The thief was able to withdraw a total of $1,900 from the victim's two accounts, Baytown police said.

One of the ATM's surveillance cameras captured photos of the robber.
