TEXAS CITY – Texas City police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing elderly man.
Police said 79-year-old Louis Clifford Johnson was last seen at 8 p.m. Thursday walking in the 500 block of 5th Avenue.

Officials said Mr. Johnson uses a walker and has Type II Diabetes.
He's described as a black man, 6 feet 1 inches tall, 170 pounds and has gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, beige shorts and black sandals.
Anyone with information regarding Mr. Johnson's whereabouts is asked to call the Texas City Police Department at 409-643-5720.
