The body has not been identified, but crews assume it is the body of 21-year-old Marke Jamaal Williams of Clear Lake.

Friends say Williams stepped into a hole and was swept away by they current.

The Coast Guard says this is a dangerous part of the beach. There are "no swimming" signs posted in that area.

This is the fourth drowning near San Luis Pass in the past few weeks.
