League City jail employee accused of sexual harassment

LEAGUE CITY - A League City jail employee is accused of sexual harassment.

Police arrested Gilber Oliva, 25, on Wednesday as he reported for work.

Officials said they began an investigation after a woman alleged that Oliva acted inappropriately with her while she was in custody back on July 4.

According to authorities, the woman claimed Oliva continued to contact her through text and picture messages after the initial incident.

Oliva is charged with official oppression.

He was booked into the Galveston County Jail and his bond was set at $5,000.
