GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas - Three people face drug charges after authorities wrapped up a two-year investigation into large quantities of methamphetamine being distributed throughout Galveston County, officials said Friday.
The investigation concluded Thursday, when agents served search warrants in the 100 block of Mary Lane, in the Bacliff area.
Engaryd Zamora, 29, was arrested on three counts of manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance. He was denied bond on each charge, according to a news release from the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.
Jessica Sanchez, 23, faces the same charges as Zamora, who is her husband. Officials set Sanchez’s bond at $500,000.
Roberto Hernandez, 22, also was arrested and accused of three counts of manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance. As authorities were taking him into custody, they said he was found with half a kilo of methamphetamine. He faces an additional charge for that alleged discovery, and his bond has been set at $750,000.
A total of 725 grams of meth were found in the house, along with $3,000 in cash, authorities said.
The three suspects are now held at the Galveston County Jail.
