Police search for man who used stolen credit card

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Sugar Land police are looking for a man who they say used a stolen credit card at several stores in Houston.

The credit card was among several items inside a purse that was taken from an unlocked car on May 28 at 10:30 p.m. A woman said she parked the car in her driveway and noticed her purse was missing when she returned the next day at 5:30 a.m.

She told police that several credit card transactions were attempted later that morning at two CVS Pharmacy stores and a Walmart.

Police say a review of surveillance video at the businesses showed a tall, slender black man with a shaved head trying to purchase merchandise with the woman's credit card. He was wearing a white pullover shirt and black pants.

The man was seen at one of the locations driving a compact white passenger car, possibly a 2012 to 2013 Toyota Camry. Police believe the vehicle was involved in at least three other burglaries this year.

Anyone with information should call the Sugar Land Police Department at (281) 275-2540 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS (8477).
