Caught on camera: Man wanted for using counterfeit cash

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Deputies are asking for help finding a man wanted for passing counterfeit bills.

According to investigators, the man used ten fake $100 bills to buy two Green Dot Visa gift cards at the Kroger on Highway 6 near West Airport Boulevard in the Sugar Land area on July 21 around 4:30 p.m.

Five hours later, deputies said the man went to a Kroger about two and a half miles north on Highway 6 and Bissonnet Street.

Just like the previous crime, the man bought two Visa gift cards using ten counterfeit $100 bills.

Passing counterfeit money is a third degree felony and has a sentence range of two to ten years and up to a $10,000 fine.
