Police searching for suspect after deadly hit-and-run in NW Houston, police say

HOUSTON – Police said they are searching for a suspect responsible for a deadly hit-and-run in northwest Houston Wednesday.

Officers said the feeder was closed westbound 290 before Dacoma. According to investigators, a man’s body was found on the road in the 9800 block of Northwest Freeway around 4:15 a.m. Police said the victim suffered head trauma and evidence indicated he was struck by a vehicle. The driver left the scene, investigators said.

Investigators said they located various items on the overhead freeway exit ramp just above where the man was found. According to police, it is believed the man might have jumped off the connector ramp and was then struck by a vehicle on the service road.
