HOUSTON – A creative fundraiser for the Tellepsen Family Downtown YMCA saw Local 2's Ryan Korsgard going over the edge, literally, in downtown Houston.
A total of 85 people made the trip for charity. All of them started 29 floors above the ground, that's 329 feet total, and took a slow walk down the side of the Four Seasons Hotel Houston.
It took about nine minutes for Korsgard to rappel down the face of the hotel to the ground. Many of the participants said it was gut wrenching, but amazing and they couldn't wait to do it again.
To secure a rope, each participant needed to raise a minimum of $1,250. It was the first time for this unique fundraiser for YMCA.
