Lions devour suspected poacher's body in South Africa, reports say

JOHANNESBURG – A suspected poacher was killed by lions at a private nature preserve in South Africa, his half-eaten body found by local authorities on Friday.

EWN reported officers found a rifle and ammunition beside his body.

The place where the man’s body was found is outside Kruger National Park. A local worker, who works at a nearby nature reserve, described the area as lion territory, Sowetan Live reported.

Authorities continue to investigate the man’s identity.
