Lightning strike causes massive wild fire in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Texas - A lightning strike started a massive wildfire in McFaddin National Refuge in Jefferson County Sunday.

Officials said around 150 acres of land have burned so far. Due to winds, the fire will likely not be out until Monday.

Officials said the smoke could affect Galveston and Houston.

Visitors traveling to Jefferson County are advised to take caution..
