League City under water restriction

June 17 from midnight to midnight

HOUSTON – Starting Tuesday, June 17, League City will be under a water restriction from midnight to midnight.

The restriction is due to ongoing construction work at the city's largest water distribution facility located in Webster.

The construction requires the shutdown of a 42-inch water line that delivers 80 percent of the city's water supply.

League City residents are being asked to limit their water usage to essential indoor use only.

Some banned water usage includes  landscaping, washing cars, and filling the pool.

Violators could face a fine of $500, plus court cost for each day that one or more restrictions was violated.

The rationing will begin again on Tuesday, June 24.
