MADISONVILLE – A 24-year-old man's nearly month-long run from police ended when he was captured "hiding under a pile of clothes" in a Madisonville home.

Police said Hannable Craig was the last of 11 suspects to be arrested on charges of raping a 16-year-old girl.

Investigators said a total of ten men and one woman were charged in May with giving the teen methamphetamines and then taking her to a trailer where several people took turns having sex with her.

Authorities said the incident happened over the course of several hours in March. It took investigators three months to corroborate the teen's story.

"You can never prepare yourself for something like this," Madisonville Police Chief Chuck May told Local 2 during an interview in May. "Even as old as I am, emotionally it hit me."

May said several of the suspects were arrested during an early morning raid on May 24. He said other suspects surrendered a few days later. Craig was the last of those charged to be arrested.

All 11 suspects have been charged with sexual assault of a child and human trafficking.

The case is scheduled to go before a Madison County grand jury next month.
