Last minute shopping deals

HOUSTON – If you still have shopping left to do, you just have one day left, and if you still have a few gifts left, you may actually luck out.

Some stores are pulling all nighters to give you more time to shop and they're slashing prices to get you in the door before Christmas Day.

Local 2 consumer expert Amy Davis provided viewers with a look at where you can fit several days of shopping into just 24 hours.

Stores are jammed. There are long linesS insideand crowded parking lots outside.

"It's monstrous. It's absolutely insane, said shopper Karen Nichols, "and I have no idea why i did this to myself."

But not everyone considers them self an 11th hour shopper.

"I do not consider this last minute, because this is the time that I found to do it," said Regina McBride, leaving the Willowbrook Toys R Us.  "Tomorrow would be last minute."

If you need toys, Toys R Us is open around the clock until 9 p.m. on Christmas eve.

Kohl's isn't closing until Christmas at 6 p.m.

Macy's stores in our area are open until 2 a.m. Monday night and again when the sun comes up Christmas Eve.

"I think that's a great idea because Christmas and Thanksgiving were so close together, I think people were caught off guard a lot that tomorrow's Christmas Eve already," said shopper Loan Huinh.

Retail experts say stores added the extra hours to get extra money. Some are also lowering prices. Local 2 didn't find Door Buster deals, but at Macy's, we found 40, 50 and 60 percent off.

At Kohl's you can get $10 Kohls Cash fr every $50 you spend.

If you're looking to hit a shopping mall, the latest hours we found in our area were at Memorial City Mall. They are open until 11 p.m. Monday night.

Most malls are open until 10 p.m.
